Criterion : les titres de septembre 2010

C’est un peu tiré par le cuir chevelu, certes, et toujours aussi frustrant pour les possesseurs de platines Blu-ray ne pouvant pas lire ces disques zonés pour les Etats-Unis uniquement (90 pour cent de nos lecteurs au bas mot), mais il est toujours intéressant de voir la collection gagner quelques volumes haute définitions supplémentaires.
Surtout qu’une fois encore, Criterion comble un peu l’immense différence de titres parus sur les deux supports. Commençons donc par les rééditions prévues en septembre 2010 sur le format Blu-ray.
Passons rapidement sur A bout de souffle de Jean Luc Godard, planifié pour le 14 septembre. Alors que le film est disponible en Blu-ray un peu partout, les bonus feront peut-être la différence :

Profitons-en pour signaler la ressortie par Carlotta en salles de ce film séminal le 23 juin prochain. Copie haute définition, s’il vous plait, pour fêter les 25 ans du film. Et pour paraphraser le film, si vous n’aimez pas le DVD, si vous n’aimez pas le Blu-ray, si vous n’aimez pas cette ressortie…
Autre ressortie, Charade de Stanley Donen. Plus habitué aux comédies musicales, le réalisateur de Chantons sous la pluie réunit ici la sublime Audrey Hepburn et un Cary Grant parodiant l’univers Hitchcockien qu’il connaît tant dans un film burlesque. Prévu pour le 21 septembre, les bonus prévus reprennent une fois n’est pas coutume, ceux de la précédente édition :

Passons maintenant aux nouveautés. Derrière Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence se cache en fait Furyo de Nagisa Oshima. Cette rencontre mémorable de David Bowie et Takeshi Kitano possèdera une édition prévue le 28 septembre avec les spécifications suivantes :

Une bonne nouvelle de découvrir le film en haute définition, et avec de nombreux bonus. Pourtant, même si le réalisateur a participé à cette édition en supervisant le master, il est néanmoins peu présent dans les autres modules. Après les Moissons du Ciel, Criterion sortirait-il bientôt le reste de la filmographie du réalisateur de La Balade sauvage ?
